The answer to these questions depends a lot on the curriculum. Either way, asking this is a sign that you are wasting time at your university (please, don’t take this as an offense, I’m a dropout so I know what I’m talking about). You need to set your priorities straight and learn your stuff (I did too). Then you will be able to figure out what to do all by yourself.
